Our mission is to transform information into knowledge by providing a map-making and data-visualization tool. To get you started, we collected and made available a rich and wide-ranging collection of statistics, available for loading into our applications.
Our visualization engine is a robust, user-friendly software package that enables the easy creation of interactive maps from any data that has a time and a place for quick comprehension of regional and global trends. The software enables you to create a variety of image and video formats suitable for redistribution and designed to enhance existing communication and presentation tools.
UUorld collaborates with organizations, corporations, and individuals to provide visualizations of custom data.
History
UUorld began with a series of conversations about the 21st century geopolitical landscape, based on a shared desire more easily understand changing demographics and economies. From these initial conversations, the first prototypes of UUorld's visualization engine were produced.
In June of 2007, the core team moved from Washington, DC to San Francisco and UUorld was incorporated shortly thereafter.
Our Team
Willy Pell, CEO/Engineer – spent four years developing geo-spatial defense software, and has worked on leading-edge rocket engines and satellite technology. An outdoor enthusiast.
Zach Wilson, CFO – previously worked in market mapping at CM2, Inc. and in economic research at the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. Prior to his work in economic modeling, he started a cutting-edge green-building division for a design-build firm in Washington, DC and he remains interested in ecological technology.
Chris Mueller, CTO/Engineer – our web and database team leader, has created numerous successful websites for non-profit and academic organizations. He recently completed graduate work focused on spatial databases and user interface design. Also holds a Fine Arts degree.
George Maasry, CIO/Lead Analyst – has worked, in major east-coast law firms, in management and performance tracking, including two years as part of the legal team handling the largest case in tax court history (maintaining a database of 10+ million documents). He has extensive experience with custom data manipulations.
Averill Doering – our marketing expert, has developed brand strategies for top companies such as AT&T, Xerox, ConAgra, and Honda. Her strength is in understanding the attitudes and motivations behind consumer behavior and in developing complementary messaging. The past two years have been spent with a focus in social media analytics and consumer insights. Averill holds a degree from Dartmouth College in Economics.
